How many of us have heard about all the unusual things our parents did and then think, "Hey, I wish I could do something like that!" Well, I am finally doing one of those things, and it officially starts off my 36 new things to experience in the next 365 days...
I joined a BOWLING LEAGUE!
How awesome is that?! It's going to be 8 short weeks and I've already attended the first league night! It's at Holiday Bowl on Lee Highway every Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. For three games including shoes, 8 bucks isn't a bad price! And if we want to pay an extra $3 a night, we'll get a personalized bowling ball at the end of the league! It's really not a bad deal at all. However, $11 (or even $8) was still going to be outside my budget so I was hesitant to join. But after much coercing from the three other guys that desperately needed a fourth team member, they agreed to help me out with the financial part of it. And considering I already have my own shoes ($3 thrift store special, never worn!), all I need to do is get myself there and back! I can do that... :) Thinking ahead, I actually can't wait to be able to tell my little ones some day that "When I was in college, I was in a bowling league!"
